However, after further research into the history of the dunce cap, a maze of ancient scientific theories was uncovered— yielding a product enriched with classic flavor and an undeniably clever point of view.
Dunce is a column-distilled, high rye whiskey sourced from MGP with a medium body, a grassy undertone and notes of sweet cream vanilla. Aged four years in No. 3 new char oak barrels, Dunce is a scholarly blend of spice, fruit, and honeyed aroma.

Named for master 13th century philosopher and metaphysical thinker John Duns Scotus, who, in his day, was considered to be the smartest man alive.
The secret to John Duns’ superior intellect lies within his trademark pointy, conical hat. Sound familiar?
Through his meticulous studies of ancient text, he concluded that pyramid shapes channeled divine energy from the above into the being or object on which they were placed. Duns believed that his cone-shaped hat acted as a reverse funnel for sacred knowledge and energy.
